Spring Mini Session
What are Mini Sessions?
A mini session is a photography session that typically lasts about 20 minutes and is offered at a reduced price for clients. These sessions take place at a pre-determined location of the photographers choice and clients are then able to select their favourite images from an online gallery of edited images.
It’s the perfect way for new clients to get a taste of my photography style before booking a full session. They’re also ideal for various photos throughout the year, marking special events and milestones. My goal is to keep it fun and get as many posed and candid shots as possible.
I like to think of the mini session as a picture refresh. This is the perfect time to get some good quality professional images of your family, little ones or older children that will update the pictures that you currently have hanging on your walls.
What you get from a mini session is the experience of working with a professional photographer at a desirable location that will result in amazing images & family fun. The beauty is that since this is custom photography, you will have one of a kind images and wall art to decorate your house with.
I'm planning on holding a few Mini Sessions throughout the year - Spring Mini, Back To School Mini, Autumn Mini, Christmas Mini, Maternity Mini - and have lots of ideas for themed shoots for the year ahead.
Who are mini sessions for? Mini Sessions are a great way for clients to refresh their family portraits without a big time or financial commitment. They are ideal for those with busy schedules or little ones, and for clients looking for creative and original portrait options.
What mini sessions are you currently offering? I am currently hosting Spring Mini Sessions and plan to host a variety of themes and locations throughout the year.
Can we choose our own location ? Mini-sessions take place at a pre-determined location. I am located in Glasgow and like to plan sessions in the area. However I do have plans for a really exciting location a bit further afield and will post details soon! I do a lot of location scouting to make sure I pick the perfect spot for each round of minis.
Is there a limit to the number of people ? Mini-sessions are for single family units only. This basically means your immediate family. I have a short amount of time to work with therefore it's best to keep the subject count to a minimum. If you want to include grandparents or other loved ones, I recommend booking one of my portrait packages.
When will our online gallery be available? Previews on social media are available within 48 hrs & galleries are ready within 10 days, unless indicated otherwise.
How much do mini sessions cost? My Spring mini sessions are a £30 booking payment and this includes 1 digital image and a 7"x5" print of the same image.
How do we reserve our session? Sessions are booked on a first come, first served basis. All bookings require the booking payment to be paid in full to secure the date/time of your session. Payment can be made by bank transfer or by paypal. Booking payments are non-refundable in the case of cancellation by the client.
1. ARRIVE ON TIME Your mini session will start right on time as scheduled and last for 20 minutes sharp. As all sessions are booked back to back (every 20 min), we will be moving at a fast pace. Please arrive picture ready (hair, face, shoes, and etc) as we want to spend the given time taking pictures, not on combing hair, wiping face, or changing shoes.
2. BRING NECESSARY ITEMS for youngsters. For example, extra nappies, wipes, water bottle, hairbrush and/or snacks.
3. DURING THE SESSION The parents may be asked to help child(ren) getting relaxed or their attention during the session depending on their age. No camera is allowed including smart phones to take pictures during the session.
4. AFTER THE SESSION You will receive an email with your on line gallery information with password approx 7-10 days after the session date. The gallery will be open for three days and your order is due before the gallery expires. There is no minimum purchase. Full pricing is available HERE.
WHAT TO WEAR For a successful portrait session, consider wearing clothes that complement each other in terms of tone, e.g. different tones of blue or green - wearing coordinating clothes of a similar tone will help to make group pictures look more uniform. Please avoid clothes with patterns, logos, characters or writing as it’s difficult to co-ordinate with anything else in the picture and can dominate the whole image. Hats are best avoided too as they can cast deep shadows over otherwise bright eyes.
